Edith May Alexander
Edith May Alexander, 100, of Sullivan, Ill., formerly of Cadiz and Scio passed away at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Decatur, Ill. Born October 28, 1911, in Pittsburgh, Pa. “Deedee” is the daughter of the late James W. King and Ethel Amelia Alcorn King. She resided in Harrison County for most of her life.
Edith was married May 5, 1937, to the late Harold V. Alexander, Sr. who preceded her in death on February 23, 1973. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Habern, Dorothy King and one great grandchild.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association, The Association for the Blind or the Ridge Presbyterian Church, Jewett, Ohio. Funeral Services were held Sunday March 11, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the Clark- Kirkland Funeral home in Cadiz, with Rev. R.J. Leek officiating. Burial will be in the Ridge Presbyterian Church (Archer Twp) Cemetery.
