Edwin V. Ringer
Edwin V. Ringer, age 79, of Hartville passed away May 31, 2026. He was born in Canton on May 29, 1947, to the late Virgil and Cora (Ginther) Ringer and graduated from Marlington High School. Ed was proud of his service to the United States Army as he was drafted during Vietnam.
Edwin especially valued taking care of his family and others and this was evident through his dedicated service to the Hartville Fire Department for well over 20 years. He also enjoyed his time farming, fishing, and telling stories to his family and friends. Along with his service to the fire department, he followed in his father's footsteps and owned and operated the Hartville Elevator Company for over 40 years.
Ed is survived by his wife of 52 years, Margaret Ringer; children, Rebecca (Michael) Brandvold, Susan (Daniel) Skeggs, and Tim (Nicole) Ringer; grandchildren, Ryan, Dylan, Lydia, and Sophia; sisters, Linda (Charles) Grant and Sandra Baker.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, June 10 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home in Hartville. Final alarm services will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Calling hours will also be Thursday, June 11 from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Services will begin at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Herb Garnes officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hartville Fire Department.
