Concerns raised over potential data centers in Harrison County
Levi R. Mast
Levi R. Mast, 88, of Winesburg, Ohio, passed away at Pomerene Hospital on Monday, May 11, 2026, after a period of declining health.
He was born on March 20, 1938, to the late Roman and Annie (Miller) Mast. On November 25, 1969, he married Mabel Weaver who preceded him in death on January 10, 2018.
Levi was a member of the Old Order Amish Church where he was ordained a minister in 1986. He was employed at American Weather Seal for many years.
He is survived by his three children, Duane (Linda) Mast of Dundee, Wyman (Marie) Mast of Millersburg, and Edna (Merle) Mast of the home; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings, Elizabeth (late David) Yoder of Orrville, Jacob R. (Anna) Mast of Mt. Hope, Mary (late Nelson) Chupp of Apple Creek; brother-in-law, Lester (late Elva) Hochstetler of Millersburg; and sister-in-law, Sarah (late Emanuel) Mast of Fredericksburg.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Mabel, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Emanuel Mast, Elva Hochstetler and Clara (Albert) Yoder; and brothers-in-law, David Yoder and Nelson Chupp.
Funeral services will be held at the home, 8147 TR 671, Dundee, on Thursday, May 14, at 9 a.m. with Bishop Marvin Mast officiating. Burial will follow in the Schlabach Cemetery. Friends may call at the home after 2 p.m. on Tuesday and any time on Wednesday.
