Bradley James Berlean, a faithful servant of the Lord, went home to be with Jesus on December 21, 2025, surrounded by his family.

He lived a life centered on faith, service, and love for his family. He fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith.

Brad was born on May 6, 1945, in West Lafayette, Ohio, to Gwenevere and James Berlean, where he was an active member of his community.

He loved his hometown where he played sports and graduated from Ridgewood High School. Upon graduating, he lettered in baseball at Wilmington College and went on to graduate from West Liberty University with a dual major in PE and Biology. He returned to his hometown where he taught and coached for 12 years all while starting his family.

He then earned a Physician Assistant degree from Kettering College of Medical Arts. He decided to continue in his passion of teaching at Ridgeville Christian School and was also a leader in short term mission trips to Mexico with students and family. Upon retiring, he became the men’s director at Miami Valley Women's Center (Hope Rising). He was very active in his church, participating in the praise team and leading small groups.

Brad was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Jeffrey Westfall. Brad is survived by the love of his life Jacquelyn (Pigan) Berlean, his son Beau (Amber), his daughter Heidi (Daron); his grandchildren Austin (Ashton), Gabriel (Lauren), Mikayla (Zackery), Cameron, Alexis, Kynzi; great-granddaughter Kinleigh and his brother Philip (Rebecca). He had many loved cousins, nieces, and nephews.

“God saw all that he had made, and it was very good…” (Genesis 1:31). Brad was a masterpiece of God’s creation.

A graveside service will be conducted at the Fairfield Cemetery on Plainfield Rd., West Lafayette at 11am on Saturday, April 18th. Pastor Chris Cutshall will conduct the service.
