Coshocton Youth Chorale sets final concert
The free May 26 performance at Coshocton Presbyterian Church will honor seniors and feature singers from four area schools
The Coshocton Youth Chorale, an ensemble of high school singers from four area schools, will present its final concert of the season at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 26 in the chapel of the Presbyterian Church, 142 N. Fourth St., Coshocton. Doors will open at 6:45 p.m.
The youth chorale is conducted by Charles R. Snyder and accompanied by Dickie R. Barrick. The chorale is sponsored by the Coshocton Community Choir, a Coshocton County musical tradition that began in 1971.
Mark D. Wagner is the musical assistant, and Erin R. Jobes serves as coordinator for the group.
Members of the youth chorale come from Coshocton, River View, Indian Valley and Buckeye Career Center schools.
The concert will include sacred and contemporary compositions, show tunes, spirituals and American classics. Featured selections include “Let There Be Peace on Earth,” “Ease on Down the Road” and “Dona Nobis Pacem.”
Graduating seniors will be recognized, and the audience will be invited to greet the young musicians following the concert. Youth chorale alumni also will be invited to join current members in singing the final set.
Admission is free, but an offering will be accepted to support the youth chorale.
