Martha M. Green
Martha M. Green, age 84, of West Lafayette passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at Genesis Hospital. She was born on December 31, 1941, in Cadiz, Ohio, to the late Louis F. and Miriam (Phillips) Hawk.
She was a graduate of New Concord High School. On June 30, 1962, she married George F. Green, who passed in February of 2026. Martha devoted her life to caring for her home and raising her five children pouring love and wisdom in each of them.
She found joy in gardening. She and George tended to their many flower beds, often spending evenings sitting together on the porch admiring their work.
Martha also had a talent for sewing and took pride in making special things for her family, they are now keepsakes and reminders of Martha. She was a seamstress at Universal Bridal at Unusual Junction for several years.
Martha is survived by children; Cindy (Myron) Baker of Coshocton, William (Diana) Green of Isletta, Thomas (Sandra) Green of West Lafayette Darlene (Drew) Dyer of West Lafayette and Nick (Carol) Green of West Lafayette; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Along with her husband, she is preceded in death by her brother, William Hawk and great-grandson, Kendall Fortune.
Burial will take place at Fairfield Cemetery at a later date.
