Coshocton to host garden pest program
Ohio State University Extension will offer a free June 22 class at the Coshocton County Fairgrounds on identifying insect damage, plant disease and environmental stress
Garden damage is not always caused by pests, and not every insect is an enemy. Ohio State University Extension will welcome Carri Jagger, the agriculture and natural resources educator in Morrow County, and Sabrina Schirtzinger, agriculture and natural resources educator in Knox County, to teach a garden pest program this summer in Coshocton County.
This one-hour educational session will focus on helping gardeners distinguish between insect damage, plant diseases and environmental stress. What’s Bugging Your Garden? will take place from 6-7 p.m. Monday, June 22 at the Rotary Building at the Coshocton County Fairgrounds, 707 Kenilworth Ave., Coshocton. The class is free, but registration is required at go.osu.edu/coshocton-garden.
Call or email OSU Extension with questions at 740-622-2265 or kinzel.40@osu.edu.
