The No. 10 seeded Coshocton Lady Redskins pulled off an upset Monday evening, May 11, in the Division V East District Tournament, defeating No. 6 seeded Sandy Valley Cardinals 5-2 to advance in postseason play.
Savannah Gambill starred in the circle, earning the complete-game victory after allowing seven hits and striking out nine batters. The standout performance also placed her atop the Coshocton record books as she became both the all-time strikeout leader and the single-season strikeout leader in program history for the Lady Redskins.
