West Lafayette shop plans princess party

Universe Bridal and Prom will host a Princess Party from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 14 for girls age 2-10. The $20 admission for the princess (payable as a cash payment on the day of the event) includes a tiara, name tag and tickets for the planned activities.

Princess participants get to play games, win prizes, do crafts, take a carriage ride, get pictures and more. It generally takes 60-90 minutes for each princess to complete all the activities. Princesses will then get cupcakes and punch.

“We hosted this party three years ago, and even though it rained in the afternoon that day, everyone had fun and it was a great success,” said Carly Goch, store manager at Universe Bridal and Prom. “We have had so many requests to have another party, and we are thrilled to finally make it happen. All our staff and volunteers are excited to meet our future Universe Girls.

“This year we will have several food trucks that will be on-site with offerings at an extra charge including Little Lao Kitchen, The Flying Naked Pig and Hot Dog Diggity. The Sno Shak will also be on-site from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with snow cones. Chairs and tables will be located outside. The food trucks are open to the public as well."

Princesses can bring up to two or three guests. All princesses must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. In the event of serious rain, the event will be held Sunday, June 28.

Princess spots are limited and must be preregistered by calling Universe at 740-545-5005. Do not leave a message as registration requires you speak to a person. Reservations also can be made through Universe Bridal and Prom's Facebook messenger and by email at universe.bridal.prom@gmail.com.

Universe Bridal and Prom has been under new management since 2021.
