Ed Huff earns Honorary State FFA Degree
Ed Huff recognized at Ohio State FFA Convention for contributions to agricultural education
Ridgewood Local Schools announced Ed Huff was awarded the Honorary State FFA Degree at the Ohio State FFA Convention. This recognition is one of the highest honors bestowed by the National FFA Organization and is awarded to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding support and service to agricultural education and FFA.
Ed Huff, a member of the Ridgewood Local Schools community, has dedicated many hours to supporting the district’s vocational agricultural program. From assisting with student supervised agricultural experience projects to volunteering at judging contests, he has gone above and beyond to ensure student success. He also has played a key role in the development and ongoing support of Ridgewood’s new school farm, providing hands-on learning opportunities.
In addition to his work with programs and facilities, Huff has been a mentor to many students, offering guidance, encouragement and insight to prepare them for future careers in agriculture and beyond.
Huff will share this moment with his daughter, who also is being awarded her State FFA Degree at the 98th Ohio State FFA Convention. This father-daughter achievement highlights a family commitment to agricultural education and the values of leadership, service and hard work FFA represents.
“We are incredibly proud of Ed and all that he has done for our students and our agricultural program,” Ridgewood Local Schools Superintendent Mike Masloski said. “His dedication, generosity of time and passion for helping students succeed truly embody what FFA is all about. To see him recognized at the state level — and to share that moment with his daughter — makes this honor even more special for our entire Ridgewood community.”
