Coshocton County celebrates growth and new businesses
April sees growth and community events including ribbon cuttings and educational sessions
As we turn the page on April, it’s clear spring has brought more than just warmer weather to Coshocton County — it has ushered in a renewed sense of growth, connection and community pride.
We would like to extend a sincere thank-you to Strategic Retirement Planning and Mark Dorman for hosting an incredibly informative session this month. Mark provided valuable insight and guided attendees through the upcoming changes for 2026, helping many better understand how to prepare for the future.
Opportunities like this serve as an important reminder: don’t leave money on the table when you can consult with experts who are dedicated to helping you make the most of what you’ve worked so hard to build.
April also was a month filled with celebration as we welcomed several new businesses to Coshocton County through a series of meaningful ribbon cuttings. Each new storefront and service represents not only economic growth, but also the entrepreneurial spirit that keeps our community thriving. We are proud to support these businesses and look forward to their continued success.
Our Empower HER Network Outreach Committee hosted a fantastic Lunch & Learn event featuring Andrea Walters-Downing and her presentation, "The Power of the Pivot." It was both inspiring and energizing, filled with practical takeaways and moments of connection.
One of the highlights of the event was a very special surprise — Kassidy Davis of Macro Fresh was presented with a chamber membership in front of the room. This gesture reflects the outreach committee’s ongoing commitment to uplifting and supporting women-owned businesses throughout Coshocton County, and it was a moment that truly embodied the spirit of Empower HER.
As we head into May, Coshocton will buzz with celebrations — from Mother’s Day gatherings to graduation parties. These milestones are the perfect opportunity to come together, celebrate loved ones and support the businesses that make our community unique. Whether you’re dining out, shopping for the perfect gift or planning an event, we encourage you to keep it local whenever possible.
Looking ahead, the chamber remains committed to creating opportunities for connection, education and growth. From networking events to community initiatives, there is something for everyone to get involved in. We are grateful for our members, our partners and the continued support that makes Coshocton such a special place to live and work.
Here’s to a vibrant May and a season full of celebration, collaboration and community spirit.
