Miranda Lester becomes licensed funeral director
Coshocton's Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home welcomes Lester as a key community member
Miranda Lester, a funeral director and embalmer at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home, has quickly become a valued member of the Coshocton community.
Originally from Lebanon, Ohio, she came to Coshocton to complete her apprenticeship under the mentorship of Funeral Director Jessica Paisley.
After earning her Bachelor of Mortuary Science from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, Lester spent a year completing her apprenticeship at GDPFH.
In January 2026 she became a fully licensed funeral director and embalmer.
Lester describes her work as meaningful.
“Being able to honor a life while supporting grieving families is what drives my passion for funeral service,” she said. “Every interaction reminds me how important our role is, and the trust families place in us is a privilege I don’t take lightly. I’m continually inspired by the professionalism and dedication of my colleagues, whose support and expertise make each day fulfilling.”
Outside of work Lester is an aspiring author, avid reader and movie enthusiast. She enjoys spending time with her partner Joshua and exploring new ideas, both personally and professionally.
