The Word of God stands forever
Angela Chapman's poem emphasizes forgiveness, strength and a closer walk with God
The Word of God is quick and speaks to the core,
To every human being's soul and more.
The Word discerns the intents of the heart,
All evil schemes of any kind in any hidden part.
The Word pierces to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit.
Its conviction is real, and any person can feel it.
Only the Word of God can bring truth and life.
Reading increases trust and love between husband and wife.
The Word is living with perfect accuracy.
The Word was and is God, became flesh sent to Calvary's tree.
The Word of God has all the answers you need.
It's a map with directions for your life to heed.
There's not one fish that can survive without being in water ...
And people can't live eternally without forgiveness from the Father.
Reading the Word revives your soul.
It gives strength when in valleys low.
A person is lost without knowing the Son, Jesus.
He is the Gospel and never does he leave us.
If you're a "prodigal Son,"
Turn to the Lord's arms and run.
If you feel you're a "lost sheep" and feel you don't belong,
The Word will show truth — you've been wanted and loved all along.
When you're sad beyond words of comprehension,
The Word of God comforts and removes unwanted tension.
When a person is starting to doubt and needs more faith,
The promises of God remind how God is powerful and great.
And when we're needing to trust the Lord more,
God's Word in the Psalms remind — on wings we will soar.
The Word of God also removes anger and fears,
From every situation and place, also from peers.
When you feel alone and deserted,
The Word of God gives you peace — quickly asserted.
When you want to know more about Jesus, the Father and Holy Spirit,
The Word of God reveals truth in Scripture for you to believe it.
The Word of God speaks about the way, the truth and life ...
The only way to Father God is through the blood of Jesus Christ.
The Word of God keeps a person's feet steady.
It's a light for your path to see where you're treading.
The Word of God convicts of sin.
It spotlights a soul deep within.
Reading the Word of God daily should be a desire,
To long after the heart of God and to want his attire.
Reading the Word helps you to forgive;
The Word removes bitterness so you can fully live.
The Word of God will always meet your every need.
In the Word is written: 5,000 people Jesus did feed.
In the Word of God, many miracles have been done.
Faith will increase when you read about God's only begotten Son.
Reading the Word of God will overflow in you with joy and love,
When you believe that Jesus Christ came down from the Father above.
When you read the Word, your relationship with the Lord becomes strong.
It removes the worldly stuff so you can sing redemption's song.
Reading the Word of God removes blindness and obscurities,
Sharper than any two-edged sword and from lies it frees.
The Word of God describes many people just like you and me.
In Hebrews 11, faith kept their feet walking victoriously.
The Word of God gives you hope and confidence ...
The kind that never lacks any truthful evidence.
The Word of God points you to eternal soul salvation.
It will secure your place in heaven for an eternal duration.
The Word of God speaks about sin,
The stain on your soul needing cleansing within.
Jesus is the Word that became flesh, our Savior.
To him repent, ask forgiveness to receive cleansing favor.
There is freedom in our beautiful America to read the Bible today.
It's an honor and privilege to read about Jesus, the truth, the life and the way.
Reading the Bible is a good daily habit.
The Word of God stands forever — it's the truth established.
