Eldercare Wisdom
Column reflects on ancestors’ daily lives
The opinion piece imagines lessons from great-great-grandparents who lived before electricity, plumbing, vehicles and telephones
AD
Oh what I would give to be able to sit on the porch and have a nice, long talk with either of my great-great-grandparents.
I would have lots of questions about their daily routines. How did they do this and that? How did they live long before technology we have now, like electric, plumbing, vehicles and telephones?
AD
How did they fix their meals, do their laundry, communicate and all the daily things?
You would sure learn a lot and really appreciate how much easier life is for you.
Thank you for your wisdom and courage that led us to who we are today.
