Thomas J. Polk
Thomas J. Polk, lovingly known as Peewee, age 63, of Coshocton, Ohio, passed away peacefully May 31, 2026, at 2:36 a.m. at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, surrounded by his family.
Born on January 13, 1963, Peewee was known for his generous heart, and unforgettable sense of humor. He loved fishing, hunting, bonfires, and spending time with family and friends. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
He was preceded in death by his parents, T.J. Polk and Martha (Jackson) Polk, as well as his maternal and paternal grandparents.
He is survived by his twin daughters, Melissa Polk and Amy (Eddie) Toney, and his son, Thomas Tyson Polk. He was a proud grandfather to Alexis (Ernest) Bonsu, Elisa Woody, Isaiah Toney, Amyah Toney, Leilah Toney, and Josiah Toney, and a proud great-grandfather to Leona, Charlotte, and Isabella.
He is also survived by his siblings, Jesse Polk, Andrea (Mark) Polk, Catherine Bonner, and Bob Polk; his longtime partner, Lori Orr; his niece, LaToya Polk; his nephews, Tucker Polk and Mark McDuffie Jr.; along with many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
Peewee was especially loved by those who affectionately called him “Pops,” including Daniel Higgins, David Higgins, Douglas Smith, and Courtney Timmons.
Family and friends may call on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home in Coshocton, Ohio.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday and hosted by Junior Polk and family.
The family kindly requests that floral arrangements be sent to Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home.
The children would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Jesse Polk, Andrea Polk, Al Stockard, Tucker Polk, and Dionne Davidson for their generosity and support with final expenses. Your kindness and love during this difficult time will never be forgotten.
Though Peewee may be gone from our sight, his laughter, love, and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
