Fred A. Trussel
Fred A. Trussel, 65, of Millersburg, Ohio, passed away Monday, April 27, 2026 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare following a short illness.
A Celebration of Life gathering was held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5 at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Alexander Funeral Home, PO Box 108, Millersburg, OH 44654, to help defray costs.
Fred was born September 11, 1960, in Millersburg, Ohio and was the son of Lester and Doris (Lawther) Trussel. Fred married Shari Byler on January 7, 2013, and she survives.
He was a United States Army Veteran serving from 1979 to 1982. Fred was stationed in Germany providing support for the Berlin Wall.
He was a truck driver, later trading his semi to transport the local Amish community. Fred enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time outdoors.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Shari, are stepchildren Alton Eugene (Missy) Dugan and John David Dugan; five stepgrandchildren; sisters, Marie Trussel Cowley and Joy Lee Trussel Woods and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ed Trussel.
