Save & Serve raises funds for counseling program
Benefit Day proceeds aid Woodside Rest ministry
Save & Serve Thrift Shop raised $5,654 for the Woodside Rest counseling program during its April 11 Benefit Day.
Woodside Rest is an arm of SpringHaven Counseling that specifically serves members of the Plain community who are facing mental health struggles. Participants live in an Amish home that offers a Christian setting, staffed by local Amish people. Woodside Rest is an intensive treatment program dedicated to the mental health needs of the Plain community.
“Woodside Rest is a reminder of the many ministries and organizations in our community that quietly care for their neighbors without fanfare,” said Eric Raber, general manager of Save & Serve. “We’re grateful to help support this program and the care they provide for local families.”
Benefit Days are an ongoing effort at Save & Serve to support local programs and organizations. Each month, sales from one day are set aside for a cause that makes an impact in the community. Customers, donors and volunteers all help make these days possible.
