Garaway softball rolls to IVC win over Sandy Valley
Pirates cruise in two wins, drop extra-inning battle
The Garaway softball team rolled to a 14-2 win over Sandy Valley in Inter-Valley Conference play April 27.
Annabelle King, True Tango and Kyleigh LaCroix all homered for the Pirates.
Conotton Valley picked up a 6-3 victory over Garaway in nine innings April 24.
Down 3-1 in the bottom of the seventh, the Pirates mounted a comeback to tie the score before falling in extra innings.
Tango, Keaton Yoder, Krista Miller and Nadia Pope all had two hits for the Pirates.
Garaway cruised to a 15-0 win over Tuscarawas Central Catholic in five innings April 21.
King earned the win in the circle, striking out 10. Sofia Conner singled three times, Krista Miller added two singles and a double, LaCroix hit a home run, singled and drove in three runs, Zoe Jump and Klayah Glazer both singled twice, Pope doubled and Audrey Miller hit a grand slam.
