John J. Yoder, 72, of Winesburg, Ohio passed away unexpectedly at his home from natural causes on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
He was born on April 1, 1954, to the late Jonas and Annie (Mast) Yoder. On September 13, 1979, he married Ruth Miller who survives.

John was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. He was employed at Kline Lumber after many years of doing carpentry work.
In addition to his wife, Ruth, he is survived by his children, Rhoda (Ben) Miller of Millersburg, Neva (Robert) Yoder of Dundee, Edward (Ruth) Yoder of Winesburg, Christina (Andy) Erb of the home; 24 grandchildren; siblings, Paul (Mary) Yoder of Dundee, Edward (Lovina) Yoder of Wilmot, Erma (Jacob) Weaver of Fredericksburg; and brother-in-law, Ivan (late Elsie) Miller of Holmesville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Jamie Miller; a sister, Elsie Miller and an infant brother, Wayne Yoder.
Funeral services were held at the home, 1430 TR 661, Dundee, on Friday, June 5, at 9 a.m. with Bishop Dennis Mast officiating. Burial followed in the Hershberger Cemetery. Friends could call at the home after 5 p.m. on Wednesday and any time on Thursday.
