Janice Marie Honaker
Janice Marie Honaker, 89 of Coshocton, passed away on May 27, 2026, at Riverside Apartments in Newcomerstown. She was born on April 14, 1937, in Coshocton, Ohio, to the late Clark Riggle and Mildred (Everhart) Erickson. She was married to Robert Honaker, who passed away in 2006.
Janice devoted her life to caring for her family as a homemaker to her children. She also helped others by spending many years cleaning homes and helping where it was needed. She volunteered for Hospice of Coshocton, the Pink Ladies at the Coshocton Hospital and the food pantry at New Life Ministries. She was active at New Life Ministries, leading Sunday School classes, cooking meals and serving others. She was a skilled baker, known for her delicious sour dough bread and cookies.
Janice is survived by her children, Deborah (John) Strasser, Brent Winegar, Susan (Alan) Lively, Karen Vilches, Brenda (Joe) Hoover, Pamala (Bob) Hamilton, Bart (Tonya) Winegar, Joy (Steve) Keirns, Tracy (Larry) Baumgardner, Patti Richcreek, Brian (Lesa) Winegar, Brook Winegar, Boyd (Lewanda) Winegar and Lynn (Mike) McGinnis; over 100 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister, Helen Ormesher and sister-in-law, Sue Riggle.
Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by grandchildren, Toby Timmons, William Winegar and Joseph Newell; brothers, Raymond, Donald and Lester Riggle and daughter-in-law, Cindy Winegar; sisters, Delores (Fred) Lent and Arlene (LeRoy) Sprague.
Calling hours were held at The Miller Funeral Home on Monday, June 1, 2026, from 11am to 1pm. The funeral began at 1pm. Pastor Aaron Bounds officiated. Burial followed at South Lawn Cemetery.
