Columbia Gas hosts Coshocton art showcase
Students and seniors unveiled artwork May 13 that will remain on display at the utility’s Coshocton facility
On May 13 Columbia Gas of Ohio team members hosted a community-focused art showcase where students from the Zanesville and Tri-County high schools, along with members of the Coshocton Community Center and Zanesville Senior Center, viewed artwork they created to brighten Columbia’s Coshocton facility. The artwork was designed to reflect the creative interpretations of the company and the communities Columbia serves.
“Our Coshocton facility was really lacking in character, as the walls have remained bare since its opening in 2024,” said Michael DiBenedetto, operations center manager. “After discussing our options, we decided that this would be a fun way to connect with community members, showcase their talents and warm up the building.”
Participants were invited to a special preview of the artwork and had the opportunity to learn more about the Coshocton facility and the work Columbia performs to deliver natural gas and support local communities.
“This event was about more than just art; it was about connection,” said Ethan Wagner, public affairs specialist. “We are proud to open our doors to our neighbors and showcase the creativity and pride these students and residents have in their communities.”
The artwork will remain on display at the Coshocton facility, serving as a visual reminder of the inaugural event and the connections the initiative created.
Through events like this, Columbia Gas of Ohio continues to invest in relationships with schools, senior centers and local organizations, reinforcing its role as not only a utility provider, but also a community partner.
