Fight the good fight of faith
Timothy Edward Toussant
Timothy Edward Toussant, 69, passed away unexpectedly April 28, 2026.
He was born Nov. 21, 1956, in Alliance to the late William and JoAnn (Gulling) Toussant.
He was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva. He worked for Mascotech for 22 years and retired from Ohio Gratings in 2018. He graduated from Minerva High School in 1975 and was glad to visit classmates at his 50th class reunion this past June.
He was an avid bowler and enjoyed passing on his skills to young bowlers. He was the first girls bowling coach for Minerva High School when bowling became an athletic sport and enjoyed coaching his daughter and her friends during their high school years. He was also an avid golfer, and his latest golf partner was his oldest grandson.
He is survived by his wife, Dottie, whom he married Feb. 16, 1985; a daughter, Tana Weisel of Homeworth; four grandsons, Brett, Brock, Blake and Blaze; two brothers, Dan (Carol) Toussant of Minerva and Chris Toussant of Cleveland; three sisters, Connie Toussant of Canton, Joan Toussant of Canton and Jackie (Scott) Greene of Canton; a sister-in-law, Barb Toussant of Louisville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry, and sister, Kay Glosser.
A Mass of Christian burial was held Thursday, May 7, at 11 a.m. at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva.
Burial followed in Liberty Cemetery.
Calling hours were held Wednesday, May 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home.
