David J. Beachy, 83, of Winesburg, Ohio (Alpine) passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, following a period of declining health.

He was born on March 4, 1943, to the late John and Cora (Yoder) Beachy. On August 27, 1964, he married Edna O. Yoder who survives.

David was a member of the Old Order Amish Church where he was ordained a minister in 1972.

He provided blacksmithing services in the community for many years.

In addition to his wife Edna he is survived by his children, Allen (Karen) Beachy of Millersburg, Christina (Wayne) Miller of Dundee, Mary (Vernon) Miller of Sugarcreek, Linda (Reuben) Miller of Dundee, Aaron (Laura) Beachy of the home, Reuben (Arlene) Beachy of Dundee; 32 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; stepbrothers, Roman (Amanda) Miller of Millersburg, Joe Jr. (Ruth) Miller of Dundee, Emanuel (late Gertrude) Miller of Dundee; stepsisters, Clara (late Jonas) Yoder of Mt. Eaton, Verna (Andy) Raber of Mt. Eaton, Linda (late Andy) Mast of Millersburg, Iva (Dan) Yoder of Millersburg, Ella (Joe) Yoder of Clare, Michigan; and stepbrother-in-law, Jr. (Clara) Miller of Millersburg.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four grandchildren, Ian Matthew Beachy, Geneva Beachy, Jamie Aaron Miller and Kenneth Beachy; a sister, Malinda (Vernon) Hershberger; a stepbrother, Jacob (Mary) Miller; stepsisters, Ada (Aden) Mast, Mary (Levi) Hershberger and Anna Miller.

Funeral services will be held at the Wayne Miller residence, 8251 TR 662, Dundee, on Friday, April 3, at 9 a.m. with Bishop Vernon Hershberger officiating. Burial will follow in the Miller Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wayne Miller residence after 2 p.m. on Wednesday and any time on Thursday.
