Henry D. Miller
Henry D. "Sausage" Miller, age 77, of Millersburg, Ohio passed away Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Sycamore Run Nursing Home in Millersburg.
A Celebration of Life Gathering for Henry and Cleta will be held on May 2, 2026, at Alexander Funeral Home from 2-4 p.m. Those wishing to share a memory or make online condolences may do so by visiting www.alexanderfhinc.com.
Family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Ohio Lifecare Hospice or Holmes Conservation Club.
Henry was born December 24, 1948, in Walnut Creek, Ohio, and was the son of Dan DC and Ellen J. (Miller) Miller. He married Cleta D. Varnes and she preceded him in death on March 19, 2026.
Henry was a truck driver most of his life spending 44 years of those with Mast Trucking, as a truck driver, mechanic, and farmer. He was a member of the Holmes Conservation Club where he served as president, secretary and trustee.
Henry loved spending time with his kids, grandkids, fishing, and rabbit hunting with his beagles, and sitting on his front porch.
He is survived by children: Norma Jean (Robin E.) Chaney, Brian Dean (Geneva) Miller, Brenda Kaye (William) Hershberger, Lee Albert Hantzsche, and Dawn Diane (Brian) Shearer; 12 grandchildren: Brandi, Jessica, Mercedes, Talan, Milani, Armani, Cory, Taylor, Hunter, Bristol, Kaitlynn, and Kayla; seven great-grandchildren; and siblings: Roman D. Miller, Mattie D. Miller and Erma D. (Allen) Beechy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and siblings: Daniel D. Miller, Mary D. Miller, Emma D. Roderick, John D. Miller, and Ellen D. Miller.
The family extends their gratitude to the staff and nurses at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare for the dedicated care provided to Henry over the past several years.
