TOPS Nashville announces meeting change
Group will begin meeting Tuesdays starting June 9
TOPS 1573 Nashville opened its May 26 meeting with pledges.
Geneva Pringle was named best weekly loser. She said to drink water first thing in the morning and watch your calorie intake. Mabel Leid was named best monthly loser. Leo Tope was named best weekly and monthly KOPS.
Pringle presented information from the January/February issue of TOPS News from an article titled “Detoxes and Cleanses: What You Need to Know.” A variety of detoxification diets, regimens and therapies have been suggested to remove toxins from your body, lose weight or promote health. However, there have been a very small number of studies on detoxification in people and none on their long-term effects.
TOPS has been meeting Wednesdays, but starting June 9, the group will meet Tuesdays at Nashville Global Methodist Church. Meetings are at 5:30 p.m., with weigh-in at 5 p.m.
