West Holmes track and field athletes qualify for Division III state meet
Three individuals, one relay advance for Knights
West Holmes’ Maddax Graham qualified for the Division III boys track and field state tournament in two events with a strong performance at the New Concord Regional, which took place May 28 and 30 at Muskingum University.
The junior finished second in the discus with a toss of 166-7 and third in the shot put with a throw of 51-8½.
Girls track and field
West Holmes had two individuals and one relay team qualify for the Div. III state tournament out of the New Concord Regional, which took place May 28 and 30 at Muskingum University.
Mallory Marmet finished third in the discus with a throw of 119-10 while Katherine Kaster placed sixth in the 1600 in 5:13.99. The 4x800 relay of Kaster, Breslyn Brown, Sophie Arnold and Iriel Mena also qualified, finishing fifth in 9:42.70.
