Katheryn G. Uhl Hoxworth
Katheryn G. Uhl Hoxworth, age 84, of Millersburg, Ohio passed away Thursday, May 21, 2026 with her loving family at her side following a sudden illness.
Katheryn was born January 9, 1942, in Seward, Alaska, and was the daughter of Jerry Sigman and Katheryn Gilliland. She was a graduate of Killbuck High School.
Katheryn was the former manager and beloved waitress at the Hotel Millersburg for over 30 years. She was a member of the Clark Township Baptist Church, Millersburg American Legion, Millersburg Eagles and Bridge Club.
Katheryn loved sunshine, the beach and being on the water at Lake Buckhorn. She enjoyed flowers, landscaping, birds, cooking, jewelry, and helping people. Katheryn was a social butterfly who never met a stranger.
She is survived by four children: Vincent (Candy) Fry of Tatertown, Ohio, Scott Fry of Killbuck, Ohio, Bruce (Sara) Uhl of Killbuck, Ohio and Joy (Billy) Patten of Millersburg, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Bon Fry, Brittany Willis, Jake Fry, Walker Uhl, Keegan Uhl, Chloe Patten and Billy Patten V; four great-grandchildren; her brother, Bob Ling of Killbuck; her dog, Buddy and numerous friends who all meant the world to her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry; her mother and stepfather, Katheryn and Carl Ling; her husband, Paul "Rick" Hoxworth; and a grandson, Zackary Fry.
A Celebration of Life service will take place at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 5 at the Lakeview Hall at Lake Buckhorn with pastor Dale Duncan officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held two hours prior to the service on Friday from 3 to 5 p.m. Those wishing to share a memory or make online condolences may do so by visiting www.alexanderfhinc.com.
