Hiland's Michael Miller tossed a no-hitter against Bridgeport, helping the Hawks capture a sectional title.

Hiland captured a Division VI sectional title with an 11-1, five-inning win over Bridgeport in a sectional final May 20.

Jonah Yoder led the Hawks with two hits. Grady Monigold and Isaiah Wagler knocked in two runs and walked twice. Christian Mullet and Gerut Monigold scored twice.

Michael Miller tossed a no-hitter to earn the win on the mound, allowing one run over five innings with eight strikeouts and one walk.

Hiland’s Cameron Young qualified for regionals by finishing fourth in the long jump with a jump of 18-10¾ at the Div. V Nelsonville-York District.

The top four finishers in each event qualified for regionals.
