Daniel G. Youngen
Daniel “Danny” G. Youngen, 74, of West Lafayette left this earth to be with his Lord on Monday, May 18, 2026 after an extended battle with Lewy Body Dementia.
He was born in Dover, Ohio on April 28, 1952 to the late Earl Walter and Bonnie Jean (Bailey) Youngen.
Dan loved farming, which he pursued for his entire life and continued to do so in his mind and heart even after he was no longer physically able.
Nothing made him happier than working the farm, being surrounded by family and spending time with his dogs. Those who knew him will remember his strong work ethic, quiet love, and the comfort of simply being together.
Dan is survived by his wife, Laura (Biehl) Youngen, whom he married September 8, 1990; children, Abbey (Shea) Emslie, Lyndsey (Doug) Hummell, Wesley Biehl, Whitney (Justin) Specht, Matt (Audra) Youngen, Karri (Michael) Bowling, and Junior (Mindy) Yoder. Dan was also a proud grandfather and great-grandfather.
The family wishes to thank Interim Hospice Care of Coshocton for their caring support during Dan’s final days. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be directed towards Interim Hospice of Coshocton or the Tuscarawas County Beef Association, which was a very important organization to him and his family.
Calling hours will be held at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton, OH on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the funeral services. Funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. with Yvonne Schneiders officiating. Burial will follow at Waggoner Cemetery, West Lafayette. An online memorial is located at www.themillerfuneralhome.com.
