Salvation Army to offer free summer meals for children

Breakfast will be served at 8:30 a.m., and lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m.

The Salvation Army in New Philadelphia will offer free summer meals for children from June 1 through Aug. 14.

The program is open to all children ages 18 and younger. Balanced, kid-friendly meals will be available weekdays throughout the summer. No registration is required, and children may simply walk in to eat.

Breakfast will be served at 8:30 a.m., and lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. Both meals will be served in the gymnasium.

The Salvation Army also plans special lunch buddy events throughout the summer.

Meals will be offered at The Salvation Army, 809 Emmet Ave. NW, New Philadelphia.
