Twin City Memorial Day services scheduled
Twin City Memorial Day services will be held May 25 at several locations throughout Uhrichsville and Dennison
Twin City Memorial Day services will be held May 25 at several locations throughout Uhrichsville and Dennison.
The schedule includes St. Mary’s Cemetery at 8 a.m., Haverfield Park at 8:30 a.m., Dennison Depot at 9 a.m., Civil War Memorial at 10 a.m., New Soldier’s Plot at 11 a.m. and Newport Methodist Church at 11:30 a.m.
Bob Michels will serve as master of ceremonies. Former state Rep. Brad Hillyer will be the guest speaker, and Mark Unrue will serve as chaplain.
Additional participants include Joel Peterson reading the names of deceased veterans, special music by Terry Wright, Deacon Mark Allison at the Catholic cemetery, greetings from Uhrichsville Mayor James Zucal and Dennison Mayor Greg DiDonato, and performances by the Claymont Band and Legion Post 491.
In the event of inclement weather, the services will be canceled.
