College Club awards scholarships to 2 students
Basso plans to become a bilingual nurse practitioner, and Haney plans to become an anesthesiologist

The College Club of Tuscarawas County held its annual scholarship awards dinner Thursday, April 23, at Broadway Global Methodist Church in New Philadelphia.
Scholarships of $1,500 were awarded to Nathan Basso of Dover, who will attend Ohio State University, and Koy Haney of Indian Valley, who will attend Walsh University.

Both students plan to enter the medical field. Basso plans to become a bilingual nurse practitioner, and Haney plans to become an anesthesiologist.
The scholarship recipients each spoke about their past experiences and activities and what inspired them to pursue their chosen fields of study.
