Weekly Blessing

God is not against you but for you

Angela Chapman's poem encourages believers to trust God’s presence in every moment

The Lord is my fortress, deliverer and friend.

He is with me always and to the very end.

He makes a way where there is no way, and that's a fact.

He is always for me, and I have no lack.

He is always a provider and gives me strength.

The Lord is my portion and goes to great length.

He is the lion of Judah, and that's a mighty thing.

He also is the Lamb of God and the forever reigning king.

Do you think he doesn't see you or know who you are?

He is the one who made you and wonderfully by far.

He is the one to go to when you've run out of road.

He's the first to go to instead of carrying a heavy load.

He's taken your burdens and placed them upon his back.

He says, "My child, run to me and fear no worried habitat."

Jesus came to give life and life to the full.

His yoke is easy and burden light with nothing cruel.

Walk in his ways and be his delight,

For your battles he will always fight.

No need to fret along your way,

The Lord is the one who has the last say.

"Be of good cheer," the Lord did say.

His benefits he loads each day.

If fear tries to attack when you're trying to walk,

Let the Lord's words lead you in your daily talk.

Whether morning or night, it doesn't matter.

The Lord sees 24/7 and makes you feel better.

His peace is always available too.

He's the prince of peace and walking with you.

Every moment in your walk, also known as your journey,

The Lord holds your every detail and makes you bold in your story.

The plans are in God's hands and very safe there,

Unfolding each moment in every day with care.

When you think you're all alone, please don't believe that at all.

You're never alone when you believe in Jesus; he answers your call.

When you sit by yourself and gaze at the sky,

The Lord sees you there from his throne on high.

If you sit at your table again and again, alone,

The Lord is right there making himself known.

To carry your cross daily is what we must do.

It's the way of a Christian when we're made new.

The road may not be easy to walk each day.

You're still not ever alone as you walk that way.

You may have some tears with plans that change,

But you're not out of God's promised range.

Keep walking by faith and not by sight.

The Lord is the one seeing in the night.

He hears your prayers and your heart too.

God is not against you but always for you.
