Brian attended and was a member of Gospel Haven Mennonite Church since 1988. Brian loved his church family and was grateful for the overwhelming support he received from them during his 2019 battle with a severe autoimmune disorder, which he was able to beat.
Brian spent 30 years doing remodeling and construction with his business, Scenic Ridge Heritage Builders. For the past 10 years he worked repairing and selling salvage vehicles. Many knew Brian for his quick wit and giving heart. He gave until it hurt, then gave some more.
He is survived by his wife, Christina, their two children, Ryan (Elena) Austin of Glenmont and Brianne (Brady) Yoder of Holmesville and his precious favorite grandchildren: Kalise Elizabeth Yoder, and Barrett Charles Austin. In addition he is survived by his father, Wendell Austin; siblings, Kelly (June) Austin, Aaron (Chris) Austin, Teresa (Ed) Markley, Robin (Shawn) Darr, and Connie (Mark) Weatherholt and more friends then can be mentioned.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda (Patman) Austin.
Funeral services will be held at Gospel Haven Mennonite Church, 6871 SR 241, Millersburg, on Thursday, June 11, at 10 a.m. with Pastor Sam Yoder officiating. Burial will follow in the Gospel Haven Cemetery. Friends may call at Gospel Haven Mennonite Church from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
