Little Theatre to hold auditions for ‘Love/Sick’
“Love/Sick” is a one-act cycle of short plays exploring love, relationships and loss through a series of interconnected stories
The Little Theatre of Tuscarawas County will hold auditions for its 2026 Black Box Production of John Cariani’s “Love/Sick” Sunday, June 28, and Monday, June 29, at the theater, 466 Carrie Ave. NW, New Philadelphia.
Registration begins at 6 p.m., with auditions starting at 6:30 p.m.
Directed by Lisa Sommers, the production is open to individuals who have completed 11th grade by the end of the 2025-26 school year. All roles are open.
“Love/Sick” is a one-act cycle of short plays exploring love, relationships and loss through a series of interconnected stories. The production contains comedic and dramatic elements, with some roles requiring physical agility, one role requiring singing and one role involving stage intimacy.
Auditioners will read from the script. Memorized monologues are optional. Those interested in reviewing a specific vignette before auditions may contact the director for access to materials.
A read-through is scheduled for July 6. Rehearsals will begin off-site and be held three to four evenings per week, depending on casting needs. Rehearsals move to the theater Aug. 4. Sunday rehearsals are planned for July 19, Aug. 9 and Aug. 16.
Performances are scheduled for Aug. 20-23.
