Mayson White sustained an injury as a result of a collision with a member of the Waynedale Golden Bears team during the first football game of the 2025 season.

The Leesville Bass Club will host the Mayson White Benefit Open bass fishing tournament July 11 from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Atwood Lake Dam ramp near Mineral City.

The event will benefit Mayson White, who sustained a spinal cord injury during a high school football game in 2025. Proceeds will help with medical expenses and recovery.

Entry fee is $40 per boat. Payouts will be awarded to the top five boats and for Big Bass, based on the number of entries.

To preregister, mail entry forms to 938 Linwood Ave. SW, Canton, OH 44710.
