Peter Scalambrino
Peter Frank Scalambrino, 74, of New Philadelphia, OH went to be with The Lord Jesus Christ unexpectedly on Saturday, March 21st, 2026 at his home in Winter Haven, FL.
Pete was the son of Peter J. and Ruth (Hall) Scalambrino of New Philadelphia, OH. Pete was born at Union Hospital in Dover, OH. He graduated from Indian Valley North High School in 1970.
Pete was a proud United States Air Force Veteran and faithfully served his country through two tours in Vietnam from 1971-1975 as a jet engine mechanic.
Pete had a strong faith in God and loved being a member of the Haven Worship Center.
He enjoyed yard work, bowling, playing the guitar and keyboard, watching his favorite tv shows, collecting interesting things and helping neighbors. Pete loved spicy peppers, mushroom hunting, classic muscle cars, motorcycles and NASCAR but most of all Pete cherished time spent with his wife Mary Joyce and their dog Paisan.
Pete is survived by his wife, Mary Joyce; sister Sandy (Mark) Cox of New Philadelphia, OH; four children, Parry Scalambrino of Ocala, FL, Parnel (Hannah) Scalambrino of Lakeland, FL, Patrick (Kaitlynn) Scalambrino of Covington, GA, and Patrice Scalambrino of Massillon, OH; 19 grandchildren, Brooke, Vincent, Jared, Kiley, Keira, Ezekiel, Elijah, Jordan, Nathan, Kanaan, Lillian, Rylan, Noah, Hannah, Blake, Nelson, Michael, Benjamin and Ciara; and four great-grandchildren.
In keeping with Pete’s wishes, cremation took place in the care of Faith Funeral Services.
A celebration of life memorial service was held at the Haven Worship Center, 1835 Overlook Drive, Winter Haven, FL on Thursday, April 9th.
Psalms 84:10 “For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.”
