Tuscarawas County library to host internet safety program for kids
Each evening, the program will focus on a different way to be safe online by being smart, strong, kind and brave
The Tuscarawas County Public Library System will host an internet safety program for school-age children in second through fifth grades at 6 p.m. each evening June 22-26 at the Main Library.
“The program was curated through a collaboration of Google and Highlights with the goal of making children safer in this digital age,” said Mary Smrek, children’s services manager.
Each evening, the program will focus on a different way to be safe online by being smart, strong, kind and brave.
Smrek said the program is made possible through a grant the Ohio Library Council received, which enabled libraries to reach students with the information.
To sign up, visit tusclibrary.org or call 330-364-4474. The Main Library is at 121 Fair Ave. NW, New Philadelphia.
