Memorial Day scams target military members
Gary Deramo
Gary Deramo, 73, passed away on March 28, 2026, unexpectedly while on vacation.
He was born on November 18, 1952, in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was the son of Barbara Deramo and the late Richard L Deramo.
He is survived by his wife, Jeannine (Hanninger); son, Steven Deramo; granddaughter, Hailey Deramo; grandson, Haiden Deramo, all of New Philadelphia; and brother, Richard N Deramo (Linda) of Havertown, Pennsylvania. He was also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was a graduate of New Philadelphia High School and Kent State University.
He was owner of Deramo’s Custom Roofing for over 30 years and served as a financial advisor for Prudential Insurance Company. He had many hobbies but excelled at fishing in National Bass Tournaments.
The joy of his life was Hailey and Haiden, they were/are members of the New Philadelphia High School Band. Gary never missed a concert, competition, or performance.
He will be remembered for his love and kindness lavished on all who knew him.
Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life on Sunday, April 19, at 12:30 at 3279 SR 39 E, New Philadelphia, Ohio.
