Michael D’Ostroph
Michael D’Ostroph, 47, of Plainfield, passed away unexpectedly May 13, 2026, at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
Michael was born October 20, 1978, to Charles D’Ostroph and the late Ingrid Bouscher. He was a 1997 graduate from Ridgewood High School.
Michael worked as an electrician for the IBEW Local Union 1105. He was a Christian by faith, and he was known for his gentle spirit, love of the outdoors, and the joy of his beautiful beloved loyal fur babies Obie and Lucy who brought him endless love and happiness. Michael will be forever deeply missed by his family, friends, and his faithful furry companions.
He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, married 19 years, JoAnna (Guilliams) D’Ostroph; his father, Charles (Jackie) D’Ostroph; his mother-in-law, Linda Mason; brothers-in-law, Jeff (Tanya) Guilliams, Tyler (Anthony Meyer) Mason; his sister-in-law, Lindsay (Kris) Howell, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Along with his mother, Michael was proceeded in death by his sister, Carrie Rhoads; father-in-law, Thomas (Tiger) Mason, and his special fur baby, Kapone.
A visitation was held at Addy Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, May 18, 2026, and again on Tuesday, May 19 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A funeral service
followed at 1:00 pm with Pastor Dan Eggan officiating. Michael will be laid to rest in West Lawn Cemetery.
