Harold H. Donaker
Harold H. Donaker, age 89, of Frazeysburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on May 19, 2026. Born on August 22, 1936, in Coshocton County, Ohio, he was the son of the late Encil and Ruth (Maston) Donaker. Harold was a proud 1954 graduate of Union High School.
Harold was a member of Perry Chapel Baptist Church and the owner-operator of H. & D. Drilling. A self-taught and hardworking man, he was always willing to lend a helping hand to neighbors, friends, and anyone in need. He served the community faithfully as a Fallsbury Township Trustee for more than 30 years and was also a member of the Licking County Antique Tractor Club.
Harold had a deep love for farming, gardening, machinery, and family. He was an avid machinist and welder who enjoyed solving problems and working with his hands. He loved traveling, fishing, caring for his equipment, and feeding his fish. His generous spirit was evident in the gardens he cultivated each year, producing enough sweet corn, cantaloupes, and vegetables to share with family, friends, and neighbors alike.
He especially cherished time spent with his family on the farm and oil rig, passing along his knowledge and strong work ethic to his children and grandchildren. Grandchildren will fondly remember summer days on the rig with Grandpa, Sunday morning blueberry pancakes, harvesting corn together, and the countless ways he provided for and cared for those he loved. His home was a gathering place where treasured childhood memories were made and lifelong lessons were learned.
Harold enjoyed attending county fairs, supporting 4-H youth, and spending time with friends and family. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication to family and community will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda E. (Laughlin) Donaker, whom he married on February 8, 1989; his children, Connie Donaker of Frazeysburg, Ohio, Kelly Dugan of Bladensburg, Ohio, Mark (Jamie) Donaker, and Max (Kelly) Donaker, all of Warsaw, Ohio; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren, with one additional great-grandchild expected; stepchildren Elizabeth (Ron) Shearn of Warsaw, Ohio, Vicki (Jeff) McNaughton of Tasmania, Australia, Charlotte (Rick) Chapman of Warsaw, Ohio, Mark (Jody) Laughlin of Coshocton, Ohio, and David (Denise) Laughlin of Frazeysburg, Ohio; thirteen stepgrandchildren; thirty-five stepgreat-grandchildren; one stepgreat-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda J. (Cullison) Donaker, who passed away on August 9, 1988; his brother, Elden Donaker; sister-in-law, Anna Donaker; and son-in-law, John Dugan.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 1, 2026, at Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery, Warsaw. Visitation is from 12-3 p.m. on Sunday, May 31 at the funeral home. FischerFuneralHome.com
