The number 10 seed Coshocton Lady Redskins pulled off another tournament upset on the road Monday night, May 18, knocking off number eight seed Barnesville 8-4 in the Division V District Semi-Finals.

Coshocton wasted no time taking control, exploding for six runs in the top of the first inning to seize momentum early. Alianna Tittle sparked the big frame with a key double and finished with three hits to lead the Lady Redskins offensively.

Savannah Gamble delivered a strong all-around performance for Coshocton. In the circle, Gambill earned the win by allowing just one earned run on nine hits while striking out nine and walking three. She also contributed at the plate with two hits and two RBI.

Jazlene Brown added a clutch base hit that drove in two runs, while Paiten Gambill also plated a pair with an RBI single during the early offensive surge.

The Lady Redskins added two insurance runs in the sixth inning to build an 8-1 advantage.

Barnesville didn’t go quietly, however. The Shamrocks scored their first run in the fifth before making things interesting in the bottom of the seventh with three runs to cut into the deficit. But Gamble was able to shut the door and secure the upset victory.
