Immaculate Conception students observe National Day of Prayer
It is a day that brings people together to rise above their differences, with people of different backgrounds, religions and beliefs praying for the nation
Students and staff at Immaculate Conception Elementary School participated in the National Day of Prayer.
The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of Congress and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman.
The National Day of Prayer belongs to all Americans. It is a day that brings people together to rise above their differences, with people of different backgrounds, religions and beliefs praying for the nation.
Students and staff walked together while publicly saying the rosary. They walked from the school on Sherman Street to the gazebo at the Dennison Depot, where they sat and finished saying the rosary before returning to school.
