Newcomerstown Historical Society to host America 250 kickoff
The free community event will begin at 1 p.m., with a historical musical program scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
The Newcomerstown Historical Society will host a kickoff celebration for America’s 250th birthday May 30 at 213 Canal St.
The free community event will begin at 1 p.m., with a historical musical program scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
Activities will include ice cream and hot dogs while supplies last, a historic music program and a raffle featuring giveaways and a 250th anniversary quilt. Raffle tickets are $2 each or three for $5.
Tent seating will be available for 72 people, and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. Guests are also invited to wear red, white and blue.
Free parking will be available at the museum, First Baptist Church, Light in the Valley Ministries and the Senior Center. In case of rain, the event will be held at Newcomerstown Middle School.
