‘Au courant’ gallery reception set May 8 at Tuscarawas County Center for the Arts
The art exhibition will highlight recent contemporary works in a variety of media created by invited artists with an eye for current movements in visual art
The public is invited to a gallery reception for “au courant” from 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 8, at the Tuscarawas County Center for the Arts, 461 Robinson Drive SE, New Philadelphia.
The art exhibition will highlight recent contemporary works in a variety of media created by invited artists with an eye for current movements in visual art. Bob Ventre and friends will provide jazz music, and refreshments will be served.
In addition to the exhibition in the main Foland Gallery, the public may view an exhibition of abstract work by William Koch in the Members Gallery and artworks from the permanent collection throughout the upper galleries.
Participating artists are Jeff Beitzel, Jane Brown, Victor Fowler, Malissa Fox, Dee Grossman, Steve Muhs, Peggy Sibila and Stephanie Space.
The show will run through June 12. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and noon to 3 p.m. Saturdays. Admission to the reception and show is free, but donations are appreciated.
The exhibition is funded in part by Lauren International, the Ohio Arts Council, the Tuscarawas County Community Foundation, the Pietro-Martinelli Charitable Trust, Troyer & Associates and the Doris and Floyd Kimble Foundation.
