About 400 students in grades seven through 12 took part in Tusky Valley’s annual Pay It Forward Day Friday, April 24.
Tusky Valley Pay It Forward Day is an annual community service event organized by Tuscarawas Valley Middle-High School, where students volunteer at local sites to give back to their community. The event aims to foster a spirit of service and community connection by sending students to multiple locations to perform pay-it-forward tasks.
Students and staff provided community service at 37 sites, including area churches, dams, fire departments and campgrounds. They also went to Tuff Bags, Tuscarawas County Center for the Arts, Tuscarawas County Humane Society, Tuscarawas County Fairgrounds, Warren Township Center, Mineral City Historical Society, Commons Pool, Bolivar Hennis Care, Bolivar Library, Fort Laurens, village of Bolivar and multiple sites in Zoar.
