The Suburban Garden Club will host a plant and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 16 at 1148 Daringer Ave.

The sale will feature perennials, annuals and vegetable plants, along with baked goods. Food items including coney dogs, hot dogs and chips will also be available for purchase.

A raffle will be held for a concrete directional sculpture, with tickets available from club members prior to the event and on the day of the sale. The drawing will take place at the end of the sale, and the winner does not need to be present.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will support the club’s community projects, including plantings in downtown Carrollton and Kiddieland, as well as a yearly scholarship for Carrollton seniors pursuing careers in agriculture-related fields such as farming, forestry and horticulture.

Funds also support local programs and organizations that assist those in need.
