The Carroll County Foundation is now accepting applications for grants to be awarded at its May 14 meeting.

Tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organizations and governmental entities located within Carroll County are eligible to apply. Grants are awarded on a quarterly basis.

The deadline to apply for the second-quarter funding cycle is May 1.

Applications must be submitted online through the foundation’s website at www.ccfoh.org. Applicants can access the form by navigating to the homepage and selecting the “Apply for Grant” option.

Questions about the foundation or the application process may be directed to Chairman Christopher Modranski at cmodranski@carrollcountyohio.us or by calling 330-627-4869.

The foundation also announced several grants awarded during its first-quarter meeting. Among them, the Carroll County Council on Aging received $20,000 to assist with the purchase and installation of commercial kitchen appliances at the Friendship Center, supporting both on-site dining for seniors and the Meals on Wheels program.

The Carroll County District Library also received $20,000 to support Phase Two of its Local Newspaper Digitalization Project. The funding will help digitize editions of the Free Press Standard from 1946 to 1991, making them available online through the library’s website.
