Augusta Strawberry Festival set June 12-13
All proceeds will benefit the Augusta Township Volunteer Fire Department
The 77th annual Augusta Strawberry Festival will open the summer fun Friday and Saturday, June 12-13, with a parade stepping off at 7 p.m. Friday. Lineup begins at 5:30 p.m. on state Route 9, north of town.
All floats and units are welcome. There is no entry fee and no preregistration is required.
Judging will take place along the parade route, with prizes awarded Friday evening after the parade.
The two-day event will include a food kitchen opening at 4 p.m. each day, featuring fresh Augusta strawberries.
Dead weight tractor pulls are planned both days. Friday’s weight classes include 4,000, 5,500 and 7,000 pounds, along with a new Run What Ya Brung 8,500-pound dead weight truck class starting at 6 p.m. There will be a break at 6:50 p.m. for the parade.
Saturday’s tractor pull classes will include 8,500, 10,500, 12,500 and 14,000 pounds beginning at 5 p.m. Scales will open at 5 p.m. Friday and 4 p.m. Saturday.
Other entertainment during the two-day event will include bounce houses, children’s games, additional vendors, bingo and more.
All proceeds will benefit the Augusta Township Volunteer Fire Department.
