Malvern High School held May 17 graduation for 46

Graduation ceremonies for the 46 members of Malvern High School’s Class of 2026 were held May 17 in the high school gym.

Addresses were given by class valedictorian Owen Ball and Addison Mitchell, who gave the National Honor Society speech.

Ball, son of Shawn and Kara Ball of Malvern, is a member of the National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society and National French Honor Society. He also is a member of Student Council, the Lighthouse leadership team, the Carroll County Youth Resilience Team, Foreign Culture Club and Science Club.

Ball played on Malvern’s football and basketball teams and held the school records for the 110 hurdles and 300 hurdles in track during his time at Malvern. He is a member of First Christian Church of Malvern and will attend The Ohio State University to study economics and business management in the fall.

Addison Mitchell is the daughter of Sonny and Jennifer Mitchell of Malvern. She has held leadership roles in National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, Student Council and H.E.R. Club.

She also is cheer captain and a member of the volleyball and basketball teams. Mitchell will attend Muskingum University to study nursing in the fall.
